Math 24

During the week of April 24-28, QSI Shenyang will be hosting Math 24 competitions for students in the following age brackets: 8-9YO, 10-11YO, 12+YO. This optional event is designed to challenge our students' math skills and promote critical thinking.

For those who are unfamiliar with Math 24, here are the rules of the game:

Math 24 is a game that involves mental math and problem-solving. It consists of a deck of cards, with each card containing four numbers. The goal is to use all four numbers to arrive at the number 24, using only addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Players are given a limited amount of time to solve each card. The first person to correctly solve the card wins a point. The game continues until a predetermined number of points is reached.

We believe that Math 24 is an excellent opportunity for our students to develop their math skills and enjoy the process of learning. We encourage you to support your child's participation in this competition and help them practice their mental math skills at home.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Teo (teo-kaye@shenyang.qsi.org). We look forward to a successful Math 24 competition and hope to see your child participate.
